GAZIANTEP - Health Minister Recep Akdag said that his two-day visit to Syria was very good and stated that Turkish-Syrian relations would further improve in health field next months.
Akdag returned from Syrian capital Damascus to Turkey late on Sunday.
Stating that they held beneficial meetings with Syrian representatives in health sector, Akdag said that they also participated in an opening of a fair in Damascus.
Akdag said that Syria wanted to develop its cooperation in health sector with Turkey and noted that a Turkish delegation was holding meetings with Syrian officials in Damascus currently.
Noting that small working groups were formed to develop cooperation in health sector between the two countries, Akdag said that those groups would work for development of cooperation. He added that they expected cooperation between the two countries to further improve.
Akdag said that they wanted to first develop cooperation in medicine industry and medical equipment field with Syria and stated that Syria wanted to buy goods in this field from Turkey.
