Industrial Production Increases By 12.7 Percent In Sept And By 8.4 Percent

ANKARA - Industrial production increased by 12.7 percent in September, 2003 when compared to the same period last year and it increased by 8.4 percent between January-September.
State Statistics Institute (SSI) announced on Saturday the results of the monthly industrial production index for September, 2003.
At the level of sub-sectors of industry, manufacturing industry production increased by 12.5 percent, mining industry production increased by 18.8 percent, electricity, gas and water production increased by 11.7 percent in September of 2003 over to the same period of the previous year.
According to the average of nine months of 2003 compared with the same period of the previous year, total industrial production increased by 8.4 percent, and mining industry decreased by 6.6 percent, manufacturing industry increased by 9.1 percent, and electricity, gas and water industry increased by 8.4 percent.
