Serter: If E.U. Does Not Change Its Attitude Of Double Standards, It Will Have Main Responsibility Of Insolubility

LEFKOSA - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Parliament Speaker Vehbi Zeki Serter said on Friday that if the European Union (EU), which was dealing a blow to efforts for political solution to Cyprus question by its attitude of double standards, did not change its manner, it would have the main responsibility of insolubility.
Releasing a written statement, Serter criticized EU's Turkey Progress Report and said that strategy paper, which was added to report at the last moment, reflected clearly Greek-Greek Cypriot influence on the EU. He added that the paper did not have any other aim but to serve political interests of Greece and Greek Cypriots.
Noting that efforts to impose pressure on Turkish side with Cyprus card, which was a national case for Turkish side, would not bring results, Serter said that Turkish nation would not endure to be deceived, detained and exploited continuously by EU officials.
Serter wished EU officials to evaluate reactions well and use a more realistic way. He added that they had full confidence in Turkey in concluding relations with EU and solving Cyprus national case justly.
