NATO SUMMIT TO BE HELD BETWEEN JUNE 28 AND 29, 2004

ANKARA - U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney called Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the phone on Friday.
Releasing a statement, the Prime Ministry Press Center said, ''U.S. Vice President Cheney called Prime Minister Erdogan on the phone at 16.00 local time. He said that the dates of June 28-29, 2004 proposed by Turkey for NATO Summit suited to U.S. President George W. Bush's program. Mr. Cheney added that the United States would also propose the same dates.''
The statement added that Prime Minister Erdogan expressed his pleasure with the agreement reached with the United States over the date of the summit.
