COUNCIL OF STATE ADMINISTRATIVE CHAMBER REJECTS REQUEST OF PRIME AND FOREIGN MINISTRIES

ANKARA - Turkish Council of State Administrative Chambers rejected on Thursday requests of prime and foreign ministries withdrawing their demand appealing a Council of Ministers decree ruling that Saudi Arabian businessman Yassin Al-Qadi's assets in Turkey should be frozen.
Al-Qadi filed a lawsuit to annul the Council of Ministers decision dated December 22nd, 2001 and Council of State Chamber #10, abiding by this request, had annulled the decision.
Turkish prime and foreign ministries had appealed the decision and asked that the execution of the verdict of Chamber #10 be reversed.
Prime and foreign ministries withdrew their call of appeal later on but the Council of State Administrative Chambers rejected this move.
As a result of the decision of the Chambers, execution of the decision of Chamber #10 annulling Council of Ministers decree was halted.
