JAPANESE PRINCE TAKEDA ATTENDS DINNER WITH TUZMEN
TOKYO - Japanese Prince Takeda attended a fast breaking dinner along with Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen on Thursday.
The dinner was hosted by a Turkish company.
The fast breaking dinner at the Tokyo Imperial Hotel began with prayers of peace by Tokyo Mosque Imam Ensari Yuceturk and Japanese Religion Council Chairman Shishina.
Among the guests of the dinner were Japanese dignitaries and Turkish exporters who are in Tokyo as part of the Turkish Fashion Week.
State Minister Tuzmen indicated that the year 2010 will be declared 'year of Japan' in Turkey. "We plan to increase trade between Turkey and Japan four fold by that date," stressed Tuzmen.
Meanwhile, Prince Takeda remarked that Tuzmen invited him to Turkey. "I plan to visit Turkey very soon," said Takeda.
Students of a Turkish school in Tokyo sang songs in Turkish, Japanese and English for the guests during the the fast breaking dinner.
