ANKARA - Turkish troops that will serve in Lebanon in compliance with the resolution #1701 of the UN Security Council, will leave Mersin port for Lebanon on October 19th.
A Turkish military engineering company --comprised of 237 soldiers and 24 civilians-- and other military personnel are among the staff to go to Lebanon. The company will be equipped with 46 vehicles and other machinery.
Turkey has already contributed a frigate to the international naval force monitoring the Lebanese coast.
The number of total Turkish personnel would be 681 including sailors as well as the members of the engineering company.
