ANKARA - The draft laws envisaging participation of Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia and Slovakia in the North Atlantic Treaty which were approved by Parliamentary General Assembly on Wednesday, will be submitted to the United States, the depositor country.
Releasing a statement on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalled that the draft laws envisaging participation of Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia and Slovakia in the North Atlantic Treaty were approved by the Parliamentary General Assembly on Wednesday.
The statement said that after laws on approval of protocols were signed by President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and published in the Official Gazette, ratification documents of the laws would be prepared and those documents would be submitted to the United States.
It added that ratification procedures were completed by parliaments of 12 allies including Turkey at that level.
