KAYSERI - Rector of Erciyes University Prof. Dr. Cengiz Utas will be presented with the international "Socrates" award, said sources at European Business Assembly (EBA) on Monday.
EBA and its International Commission decided to present the "Socrates" award to Cengiz Utas based on Erciyes University's academic achievements that are at European standards.
EBA Director General Enrico Oswald invited Dr. Cengiz Utas to Oxford, Britain, to receive the "Euro Education 2006 International Socrates Award" on November 27th, 2006.
The Oxford award ceremony will also be attended by Oxford Mayor Jim Campbell and rectors from various European universities.
Erciyes University is considered to be one of Europe's best universities, told EBA sources.
