Textile Exports From Bursa Rise By 25 Percent

BURSA - Ready-to-wear exports from Bursa province in Marmara Region rose by 26 percent and the increase in textile exports was 25 percent between January and October 2003.
According to figures of Uludag Exporters Association, Bursa exported textile and ready-made clothes worth of 948 million 267 thousand U.S. dollars in the first half of this year while this figure was 757 million 686 thousand U.S. dollars in the same period of the previous year.
Ready-to-wear exports from Bursa rose by 26 percent to 484 million 173 thousand U.S. dollars in the mentioned period while this figure was 384 million 880 thousand U.S. dollars in the same period of the previous year.
Bursa exported textile products worth of 464 million 267 thousand U.S. dollars with an increase of 25 percent between January and October 2003 while it had raised an income of 372 million 806 thousand U.S. dollars through textile exports in the same period of previous year.
Ready-to-wear exports from Bursa increased by 38 percent while the rise in textile exports was 30 percent in October 2003.
Bursa exported textile products to 9 free zones and 117 countries and autonomous regions and ready-to-wear products to 8 free zone sand 89 countries and autonomous region in the first half of this year.
