TRABZON - Turkey obtained an income worth of 236 million 883 thousand U.S. dollars through hazelnut export on the ninth week of export season.
According to figures of Black Sea Hazelnut and Products Exporters' Association, Turkey gained 236 million 883 thousand 125 U.S. dollars by exporting 67 thousand 486 tones of hazelnut on the ninth week of 2003-2004 season that started on September 1.
Turkey exported 55 thousand 783 tones of hazelnut to the European Union (EU) countries, 6 thousand 277 tones of hazelnut to other European countries and 2 thousand 899 tones of hazelnut to overseas countries.
In the same period of the previous season, Turkey had exported 99 thousand 446 tons of hazelnut and obtained an income of 223 million 313 thousand U.S. dollars.
