ANKARA - State Institute of Statistics (SIS) announced on Monday rise in wholesale prices in October as 0.6 percent and in consumer prices as 1.4 percent.
A statement of SIS said that the annual inflation rate in October was 16.1 percent in wholesale prices and 20.8 percent in consumer prices.
Ten-month inflation rate was calculated as 11.3 percent in wholesale prices and 15.5 percent in consumer prices. According to 12-month averages as of October, annual inflation became 28.5 percent in wholesale prices and 27.4 percent in consumer prices.
Inflation in private manufacturing industry which is named as core inflation became 0.6 percent in October 2003.
The rise in wholesale prices was 3.1 percent and it was 3.3 percent in consumer prices in October 2002, the statement noted.
