Hamburg State Mayor Beust Due To Turkey

BERLIN - Germany's Hamburg State Mayor Ole von Beust will visit Turkey between 3-5 November.
Beust will visit Istanbul and Izmir and he will take up with his counterparts issues of urbanization, migration, harmony and developing ports, besides the role of Turkey in international policy and its relations with the EU.
Beust will also get information about human rights in Turkey and meet with representatives of an independent human rights association in Izmir.
Beust who will discuss relations among religions and the role of religion in schools with Dean of 9 Eylul University's Theology Faculty Prof. Dr. Selahattin Parladır, will also meet with representatives of Izmir Trade and Industry Chamber.
Beust who will visit some companies in Istanbul like Mercedes-Benz, will be accompanied by some businessmen, Turkish consul general to Hamburg Erol Etcioglu and Hamburg Turkish community representatives during his contacts.
