ANKARA - A group which called itself ''Union of Labourer Women and Women Relatives of Soldiers'' issued a press release in front of the parliament asking for cancellation of the motion on sending soldiers to Iraq on Friday.
The group shouted slogans saying that ''Iraqi women are not alone'' and ''support resistance, not invasion.''
The press release issued by the group noted that a new parliament session should be held in order to cancel the motion. ''We don't want to experience the pain of families of American soldiers. We don't want our children and relatives to die in Iraq,'' the group said.
Later the group submitted their petition to the parliament.
