ANKARA - The Foreign Ministry said on Friday that Turkey attached importance to implementation of reforms made in European Union (EU) membership process and was determined to overcome deficiencies.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Huseyin Dirioz replied to questions about Turkey's progress report expected to be unveiled by the EU Commission on November 5.
Dirioz said that the report had not been unveiled yet and therefore, there could be some changes till the last minute.
Ankara contributed to the report conveying information about implementation of reforms and adjustment process during preparation of this year's report as it had done in the previous years, Dirioz noted.
Dirioz recalled that the report told about developments and performances in Turkey till the date it was issued.
Noting that they attached importance to implementation of reforms, Dirioz said that what was important was completion of that process till 2004.
Dirioz stated that they were in contact with EU Commission, adding that they would work transparently.
