ANKARA - "German companies are willing to invest in Turkey apart from Turkey`s EU membership," German-Turkish Chamber of Commerce & Industry Chairman Teoman Yelkencioglu told A.A while assessing the meetings between Turkish and German businessmen after German Chancellor Angela Merkel`s visit to Turkey.
Noting that some of the German businessmen want to increase their investments (in Turkey) and some of them want to make new investments, Yelkencioglu said that other businessmen arrived in Turkey to examine Turkish market.
Recalling that more than 2,300 German companies have invested in Turkey, Yelkencioglu said that none of the German companies which have invested in Turkey is regretful.
"German companies, which want to invest in Turkey, firstly stress the high energy costs in our country. They also express the high population increase as well as the security problem in southeast and eastern Anatolia regions," he added.
