ANKARA - Turkey offers attractive investment opportunities as a growing economy and a country on the road to EU membership, said Emerging Turkey research carried out by the Oxford Business Group.
According to the research, Turkey is ensuring macro economic stability with its IMF-backed financial stability program and inflation reduction policy, and strengthening its economy.
It stated that Turkish banking sector has been restructured rapidly after the economic crisis of 2001, and has drawn interest of giant international banks; and forecast that Turkish banks will continue to merge with foreign banks in coming years.
Noting that the capital market in Turkey is also attractive, the Emerging Turkey research stressed that the insurance sector is growing.
The research listed the real estate and construction as other attractive industries.

Underlining importance of Turkey as a regional energy route, the research said that Turkey can become a bridge of energy shipment between the Central Asia and Caspian and European countries.
