IZMIR - Executives of ten leading Italian firms will soon visit Aegean city of Izmir to seek business partners within the scope of an organization initiated by the Turkish Foreign Trade Undersecretariat in coordination with the Union of Aegean Apparel Industrialists` Association (EGSD) and Italian Consulate in Izmir.
``Italian companies cannot only manufacture their products in Izmir but they can also cooperate with Turkish companies in weaving, threading and textile machinery industries``, said Michele Tomassi, Italian Consul in Izmir.
On the other hand, EGSD Chairman Nedim Orun said that Italian apparel companies are seeking investment and production opportunities in Turkey for some time due to increasing production costs.
