The two drivers` bodies were brought to Turkey on Friday, who were identified as Nuri Akceren and Zeki Kilic.
Abdullah Isik, who survived the attack told the A.A that their convoy was stopped by a group of armed men while they were returning to Turkey and forced them to get off their vehicles.
"We put our hands up and surrendered, but they opened fire on us. I managed to escape and hide," said Isik. "Then I saw an American military convoy approaching. I rushed at them to ask for help but they did not stop."
