ANKARA - Afghan Foreign Minister Rangin Dadfar Spanta will visit Turkey next week at the invitation of Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul, Turkish Foreign Ministry announced today.
A statement by the ministry indicated that Spanta will have talks in Ankara and Istanbul between October 10th and 13th.
Gul and Spanta are expected to discuss developments in Afghanistan, bilateral relations, and regional and international issues.
Spanta will be received by President Ahmet Necdet Sezer, Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his stay in Ankara. He is also scheduled to take the floor in a conference at the Ankara University's Political Sciences Faculty.
The Afghan foreign minister will also participate in a meeting of Turkish-Afghan Business Council in Istanbul on October 13th.
