IZMIR - Greek human smuggler, who was intercepted together with 24 illegal migrants by Turkish coast guard teams in a boat off Cesme town of the western city of Izmir, was arrested on Friday.
The human smuggler, who was identified with his initials Y.F., was sent to prison in the neighboring town of Buca after being questioned by the chief prosecutor.
Three of the migrants were released since they had passports, while the remaining 21 were taken to Izmir for deportation.
On Wednesday night, coast guard teams intercepted three Iraqi, 4 Saudi Arabian and 17 Somalian migrants as well as the Greek human smuggler in a boat off Cesme as they were heading to Greece illegally.
