State Minister Babacan In New York

NEW YORK - The United Nations General Assembly meeting on ''High-Level Dialogue on Financing for Development'' started in New York, the United States, on Wednesday.
State Minister Ali Babacan for Economy is representing Turkey at the meeting.
Babacan came to New York overnight after attending the International Conference on Finance for Development in Mexico.
After attending the opening session of the meeting, Babacan will attend the seventh and eighth round-tables later in the day.
The theme of these round-tables are earlier announced as ''the link between the progress in the implementation of the agreements and commitments reached at the International Conference on Financing for Development and the promotion of sustainable development, sustained economic growth and the eradication of poverty with a view to achieving an equitable global economic system.''
On Thursday, Babacan will attend Unofficial Reciprocal Dialogue meetings in order to explain Turkey's views.
Babacan and the accompanying delegation are expected to return to Turkey on Saturday.
