WESTMACOTT: "MY WIFE AND I WILL RETURN TO TURKEY. WE WILL HAVE A SMALL HOME"

ISTANBUL - Britain`s Ambassador in Ankara His Excellency Peter Westmacott has paid a farewell visit to Istanbul Governor Muammer Guler on Thursday.
"Mr. Westmacott has been in Turkey for the past 4.5 years. He has learned Turkish. We love him very much and wish him the best at his new assignment," said Guler.
Guler expressed that Turkish-British relations are living their best term ever. "Such relations are extremely important for Turkey`s EU process," added Guler.
Meanwhile, Westmacott told that "Guler and he worked closely during his tenure as ambassador". "There have been some tough times. There was a terrorist attack in Istanbul. Mr. Guler extended support to us," noted Westmacott.
Ambassador Westmacott indicated that his wife and he will return to Turkey in the future. "We will have a small home in Bodrum Yalikavak," he added.
