ANKARA - Turkey harshly condemned on Tuesday the bloody attacks staged in Baghdad on Sunday and Monday.
Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Turkey harshly condemned attacks staged on Al Rashid Hotel in Baghdad where U.S. officials were staying on October 26 and attacks on a number of buildings in Baghdad, including the building of the International Committee of the Red Cross on October 27 which led to death of many people.
The statement noted that attack on International Committee of the Red Cross, which had a very important role in transfer of aid to Iraqi people in those very hard days, once more showed how serious the security problem in Iraq was.
It was clear that it would be difficult to record progress in other fields unless security was ensured in Iraq, the statement stressed.
''we offer our condolences to those whose relatives died in attacks in Baghdad and wish quick recovery to the injured,'' added the statement.
