Alpay Departs From Aston Villa

AH- Turkish football player Alpay Ozalan, who was declared as persona non grata in Britain because of his argument with David Beckham in the Turkey-England match played on October 11, abolished his contract with British club Aston Villa by mutual agreement.

Alpay told in his statement, “My contract would end on January. I said to the club administration that I would not be useful for Aston Villa after the facts. After the meetings, we came to the agreement on the abolishment of my contract and paying my credit until January”.
