ANKARA - Justice Minister and Government Spokesman Cemil Cicek said on Monday that Public Management Draft Law was opened to signature.
Speaking to reporters following the meeting of Council of Ministers which lasted for nearly four hours, Cicek said that they discussed draft laws which would be submitted to the parliament and which were on the agenda of the parliament in the meeting.
Stating that they wanted Public Financial Management and Control Draft Law which aimed to take financial management under discipline, Banks Law and draft law on amendment to some laws to be passed from the parliament in its first meeting.
Cicek said that they also discussed Public Management Draft Law and stated that this law was kind of a reform in public management.
Stating that the draft law was brought onto the agenda twice in the working meeting of the Council of Ministers and President Ahmet Necdet Sezer was informed about it, Cicek said that the draft was given its final shape in the meeting on Monday. Cicek said that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan or a minister would give information about the draft on Thursday or Friday and stated that the draft was opened to signature.
Cicek said that National Education Minister Huseyin Celik also informed the cabinet about consensus which was reached on studies regarding new Higher Education Draft Law in the meeting.
