GAZIANTEP - German Ambassador in Ankara Wolf Ruthard Born said on Monday that Turkey was of great importance for Germany in every field.
Born visited Gaziantep Chamber of Trade (GTO) chairman Mehmet Aslan and said that there were good relations rooted in history between Turkey and Germany.
Stating that many Turkish people were living in Germany, Born said that both countries should further improve their commercial relations. Born said that relations in textile sector were at a desired level and added that the two countries could further improve relations in other fields as well.
Aslan said that Gaziantep attributed great importance to commercial relations with Germany.
Stating that Turkey and Germany was two friendly countries, Aslan said that Germany fully supported Turkey in its EU membership process.
Born also visited Gaziantep Chamber of Industry (GSO) chairman Mehmet Ozmen and received information about industry of the province.
Ozmen said that businessmen and industrialists who wanted to go from Gaziantep to Germany had some problems on visa and demanded help on this issue.
