PARIS - "A bill submitted by French Socialist Party, which said that denial of so-called Armenian genocide will be considered a crime, will have a negative impact on relations between Turkey and France," main opposition Republican People`s Party (CHP) deputy leader Onur Oymen has indicated.
Oymen, who is currently in Paris to lobby against the mentioned bill, told the A.A correspondent on Tuesday that this bill did not comply with both freedom of expression and also European Convention on Human Rights.
Stating that the bill was prepared by taking into consideration domestic policy objectives, Oymen said that if it was approved, France would suffer and pay its cost.
