ANKARA - Members of Parliaments from southern Europe, including MPs from the Turkish parliament, developed a common network in order to watch the activities of the World Bank more effectively.
MPs from Turkey, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Romania and Serbia gathered at a location close to Athens upon the invitation of the Greek parliament and opted for the formation of a common network intending to protect the priorities of the Southern Europe region.
Drawing attention to the presence of other parliamentary networks constituted previously in connection with the WB, such as networks in India, Japan, Eastern Africa and Middle East-Africa, sources from the WB said that the newest joining of southern Europe network would remarkably contribute to the efficiency of the bank's activities.
