Spanish Air Forces General Borrallo Comes To Trabzon

TRABZON - Spanish Air Forces General Francisco Sanchez Borrallo came to northern Trabzon province on Friday regarding the plane crash that took place near Macka town of northern Trabzon province last May.
Borrallo and Colonel Rafael Sanchez Gomez who were charged by the Spanish Defense Minister Federico Trillo to investigate whether there was new information about the accident, visited the same day Trabzon Chief Prosecutor Burhan Cobanoglu.
Borrallo and Gomez who exchanged views about the plane crash later talked about the accident with officials of Macka Prosecutor's Office.
The Ukrainian plane carrying Spanish Peace Keeping Forces crashed in Kockine rural area of Sahinkaya hamlet of Macka town on May 26, 2003. Totally 13 crew-members including one Belarussian, 12 Ukrainian and 62 Spanish Peace Keeping Forces soldiers had died in the crash.
