ISTANBUL - State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatif Sener said on Wednesday that logistics was very important in today's world.
Addressing the ministers working session of the 19th meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Trade Cooperation (COMCEC) of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), Sener said that the electronic mail studies carried out in Turkey were driving force which would speed up formation of information society. Sener stated that the law on electronic signature would be adopted soon.
Sener said that electronic trade projects within adjustment to EU also started to be put into practice, adding that coordination between private and public institutions was speeded up. Underlining the importance of logistics, Sener said that there should be more cooperation particularly among public institutions.
Sener added that Turkey would attend the United Nations World Information Society Summit that would be held in Tunisia in 2005.
