Turkish Delegation Headed By Gul Attends Funeral Of Izzetbegovic

SARAJEVO - Former Bosnian President Aliya Izzetbegovic was buried on Wednesday in Sarajevo. A crowded Turkish delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul attended the funeral.
Finance Minister Kemal Unakıtan, State Minister Ali Babacan, Agriculture and Rural Affairs Minister Sami Guclu, Istanbul mayor Ali Mufit Gurtuna, Felicity Party leader Necmettin Erbakan, nearly 100 deputies and representatives of non-governmental organizations attended the funeral from Turkey. Almost 100,000 persons attended the funeral which took place in rain.
The ministers signed the book of condolence for Izzetbegovic.
Foreign Minister Gul and the accompanying delegation will return to Ankara after the funeral.
