ANKARA - Deputy Chief of General Staff Gen. Ilker Basbug attended Turkey-Pakistan high ranking military dialogue meeting in Pakistan in which military education cooperation and defense industry issues were taken up.
General Staff's Information Centre said on Wednesday that a delegation headed by Gen. Basbug attended the meeting held between October 20-23.
Noting that a high ranking military dialogue group was founded in 2001 to upgrade the bilateral military cooperation between Turkey and Pakistan, General Staff noted that the group would convene once in a year on rotational basis at the level of Deputies Chief of General Staff. The first meeting was held in Turkey between 10-11 April, 2002.
