Erdogan Meets With Kyrgyz Chairman Of Legislative Assembly Abdygany Erkebayev

BISHKEK - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday that democracy was a system which had to be experienced instead of discussing.
Erdogan met with Kyrgyz Chairman of Legislative Assembly Abdygany Erkebayev.
Noting that authorities of parliament in Kyrgyzstan were importantly increased with the newly adopted constitution following the referendum held in 2003, Erdogan said that the parliament was turned to a structure with single assembly from two assemblies.
Erdogan said that they were pleased with steps taken in Kyrgyzstan on democratization and human rights and added that Kyrgyz parliament had an important role on those progress.
Noting that friendly ties between Turkish and Kyrgyz parliaments should be strengthened, Erdogan said that they desired friendship groups which were formed mutually at parliaments of two countries to work more actively and meetings between parliaments to be held more frequently.
Erdogan said that they were closely following the developments in Kyrgyzstan on democracy and human rights and he added that democracy was a system which had be experienced instead of discussing.
Emphasizing that Turkish government attributed very much importance to foreign policy, Erdogan said that they made progress on economy, human rights and foreign policy and added that reforms on all fields would continue.
Erdogan said that Kyrgyzstan had a special place and importance in Turkey's Eurasia policy and it was a key country in this geography. He added that Kyrgyzstan had a strategical significance which balanced relations between China, Russia and the United States.
State Ministers Besir Atalay and Mehmet Aydin and Justice Minister Cemil Cicek also attended the meeting.
