ANKARA - Parliament adopted on Tuesday the motions on opening of parliamentary investigation into the transfer of Imar Bank, Pamukbank and Tarisbank to Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (SDIF) and about the Banking Regulatory and Supervisory Agency (BRSA).
The parliament discussed five motions on opening parliamentary investigation which were submitted separately by the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) and Republican People's Party (CHP) on problems of banking and finance sector, claims about transfer of some banks to SDIF and the studies of BRSA.
At the end of the discussions, the parliament accepted to start investigation about the claims of transfer of three banks to SDIF and the activities of BRSA.
