ANKARA - Turkey called for caution and finding a peaceful solution to the Middle East problem.
A Foreign Ministry statement noted on Tuesday that it was worrying to see the recent escalation of violence regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, adding ''Turkey is uneasy about the killing of many Palestinians during the operations launched by the Israeli army in Gaza Strip yesterday.''
Noting that Turkey always strongly condemned acts of terrorism on Israelis, Foreign Ministry said that ''however Israel should also refrain from excessive use of force and take measures to protect innocent people. Turkey calls once again the sides in this critical period to act cautiously and to find a solution to the problem through peaceful ways.''
