TRABZON - Turkey obtained an income worth of 180 million 645 thousand U.S. dollars through hazelnut export on the seventh week of export season.
According to figures of Black Sea Hazelnut and Products Exporters' Association, Turkey gained 180 million 645 thousand U.S. dollars by exporting 52 thousand 273 tones of hazelnut on the seventh week of 2003-2004 season that started on September 1.
Turkey exported 44.110 tones of hazelnut to the European Union (EU) countries, 4.756 tones of hazelnut to other European countries and 2.267 tones of hazelnut to overseas countries.
In the same period of the previous season, Turkey had exported 82 thousand 147 tons of hazelnut and obtained an income of 186 million U.S. dollars.
