Iraqi Governing Council Security Committee To Decide Whether Turkish Soldiers To Come To Iraq

BAGHDAD - Iraqi Governing Council's only Turkmen representative Songul Cabuk said on Monday that nine members of the council would meet with Paul Bremer, the U.S. administrator in Iraq, next week and take a decision on whether Turkish soldiers would come to Iraq or not.
Cabuk told reporters that Iraqi Security Committee which was formed by nine members of the council would meet with Bremer next week and all committee members would attend the meeting.
Noting that the members would decide whether Turkish soldiers would come to Iraq or not in the meeting, Cabuk said that Bremer would give the last decision.
Underlining that turning Iraq's state structure into a federal state could bring the country face to face with threat of separation, she added that the major view in the council was a limited federalism which would not harm Iraq's integrity.
