Tuzmen Would Continue To Act As Wepza President For Four Years

ISTANBUL - State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said on Sunday that he would continue to act as the World Economic Progressing Zones Association (WEPZA) President for four more years.
Tuzmen held a press conference upon the 25th Council Meeting and Anniversary Conference of WEPZA taking place in Istanbul.
WEPZA made important contributions to liberalization of world trade, Tuzmen said.
They wanted to make Mediterranean a free zone, Tuzmen noted.
Stating that liberalization of world trade could take some time, Tuzmen said that they wanted to unite all free zones, techno-parks and free cities in one platform.
Tuzmen pointed out that they would take new decisions on free zones in Turkey and world and expressed belief that that international platform would be very beneficial.
Upon a question, Tuzmen said that he would continue to act as the WEPZA President for four more years.
WEPZA's 25th Anniversary Conference on Using Economic Progressing Zones (EPZs) to Build Trade Capacity will be held on Monday.
Free zones, legal environment, historical perspective, and new opportunities will be taken up in the conference.
