ISKENDERUN - The United States rented on Sunday 300 trucks equipped with cooler from Turkey for transportation of foodstuff for soldiers in Iraq.
Mehmet Hazirlar, the deputy chairman of Iskenderun Branch of the International Transporters Association, told reporters that the United States committed to pay 4.000 U.S. dollars per month for every truck within the terms of three-year contract.
Hazirlar said that 100 trucks were sent to Kuwait to transport goods brought by the United States to Persian Gulf to places where soldiers were deployed in the south of Iraq.
