ADANA - Officials of Pipeline Transportation Corp. (BOTAS) said on Saturday that oil started to be pumped through Kirkuk-Yumurtalik pipeline as of that morning but that oil could not be transferred to BOTAS Facilities in Yumurtalik town of southern Antalya province due to failure in the pipeline.
BOTAS Regional Director Gurhan Unal told A.A correspondent that oil pumping was stopped due to a leak from pipelines after two hours of pumping.
Unal said that therefore, oil could not be transferred to BOTAS Facilities.
Stating that pipeline started to be repaired, Unal said that oil transfer would start again after the pipeline was repaired.
