IZMIR - Turkish ready-to-wear and shoes companies which took part in ''Motexha Autumn 2003 Fair' held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) between 6-9 October, established important business connections.
Sezmen Alper, the Secretary General of Aegean Exporter Unions told A.A correspondent on Friday that the fair was very productive and 26 companies which joined the fair set up important business connections.
Noting that UAE and Dubai had an important export potential for Turkish companies, Alper said that Turkish companies drew more interest in the fair than Italian, French, Spanish and German companies.
Alper said that export to UAE increased recently, adding that ''our shoes export to UAE reached 1.5 million dollars and our ready-to-wear exports reached 15.3 million dollars in 2002.''
