ANKARA - Total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks increased 200 million U.S. dollars to 67 billion 175 million U.S. dollars between September 26-October 3, 2003.
According to Central Bank's provisional statistics, total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks was 66 billion 975 million U.S. dollars on September 26.
Foreign exchange deposits decreased 92 million U.S. dollars to 50 billion 965 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Total internal foreign exchange deposits decreased 204 million U.S. dollars to 48 billion 516 million U.S. dollars while external foreign exchange deposits increased 112 million U.S. dollars to 2 billion 450 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Meanwhile, total foreign exchange deposits at the interbank market increased 33 million U.S. dollars to 603 million U.S. dollars.
Foreign exchange deposits with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts increased 162 million U.S. dollar to 16 billion 371 million U.S. dollars between October 3-10, 2003.

FOREIGN EXCHANGE RESERVES INCREASE BY USD 34.7 MILLION

Foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank increased by 34.7 million U.S. dollars between October 3-10, 2003.
According to the Central Bank's weekly bulletin, the Central Bank's foreign exchange reserves which were 34 billion 151 million U.S. dollars on October 3, increased to 34 billion 675 million U.S. dollars on October 10.
Total foreign exchange reserves of banks and private finance organizations decreased 356 million U.S. dollars from 11 billion 223 million U.S. dollars to 10 billion 867 million U.S. dollars between September 19 and 26.
The international reserves of Turkey comprising gold reserves and foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank, commercial banks and private finance organizations increased 2 billion 47 million U.S. dollars from 43 billion 970 million U.S. dollars to 46 billion 17 million U.S. dollars between September 19 and 26.
