ANKARA - Labor and Social Security Minister Murat Basesgioglu received U.S. Ambassador in Ankara Eric Edelman on Thursday.
Basesgioglu said Edelman paid a visit of courtesy, stating that relations between Turkey and the United States were never shaken although there were differences of opinion from time to time.
Stressing that Turkey and United States were countries sharing the same values and ideals, Basesgioglu said, ''we hope economy and trade dimension of bilateral relations which are based on security and defense cooperation, to be further strengthened in the coming period.''
Edelman said relations between Turkey and the United States were always important and strong.
Stating that bilateral relations were settled on a very important security bases for more than 50 years, Edelman said relations between the two countries were based on joint values and interest.
