ANKARA - Turkey on Thursday described dialogue process, which started between officials of Serbia and Kosovo in Vienna on October 14, as a ''beneficial development''.
Foreign Ministry issued a statement and said, ''Turkey considers the dialogue process as a beneficial development that would contribute efforts to restore peace and stability in the Balkans in general and in Kosovo in particular.''
The statement said the sides would look for cooperation in energy, transportation, missing persons and return of refugees, stating that this constituted an opportunity for the constructive steps that would be taken to better living conditions in Kosovo.
The statement said this step, which was taken within U.N. Security Council resolution no:1244, was considered as ''positive'', and stressed that, ''we expect all political leaders in Belgrade and Pristina to exert efforts to restore confidence and compromise atmosphere among all the national communities in Kosovo.''
