BRUSSELS - Turkish State Minister & Chief Negotiator for EU talks Ali Babacan who is currently in Brussels met European Commissioner for enlargement Olli Rehn on Thursday to discuss Turkey's EU membership process.
Babacan began his talks in Brussels in the morning by meeting Jan Figel, European Commissioner for training & culture. Following his meeting with Rehn, Babacan will meet Charlie McCreevy, European Commissioner for internal market & services, and Belgian Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht.
Meanwhile, Babacan's meeting with Belgian Finance Minister Didier Reynders, which was scheduled for today, was cancelled.
Babacan will hold a press conference in Brussels tomorrow.
