ANKARA - Turkish Health Minister Recep Akdag met Omani Health Minister Ali Bin Muhammad Bin Musa in Ankara on Wednesday.
Akdag noted that Turkey wanted to boost cooperation in the area of health with Gulf countries.
''I visited Oman. Omani officials and I discussed cooperation opportunities between the two countries and a memorandum of understanding was signed during my visit to Oman.''
On the other hand, Musa said that he expected Turkish doctors to work in hospitals in his country.
Replying to a question, Akdag recalled that Turkey keeps contributing to several countries including Afghanistan, Palestine, Sudan, Yemen and Kosovo, adding that the country has sent medicine of 3.5 million YTL (nearly 2.4 million USD) to Lebanon recently.
