Sahin: Attack In Baghdad Is Not An Attack Specially Staged Against Turkey And Turkish Embassy

ANKARA - State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin said on Tuesday that he thought that attack staged in front of Turkish Embassy in Baghdad was not an attack specially staged against Turkey and Turkish Embassy.
Asked if the attack was a provocation, Sahin said, ''I don't know. According to information given by the Foreign Ministry, a bomb exploded, two Iraqi policemen were injured and the embassy building was damaged. We may receive more detailed information later.''
Asked how he evaluated such an attack after the parliament took a decision to send soldiers to Iraq, Sahin said, ''let's not make any comment. We can't comment on the issue without receiving detailed information.''
Recalling that explosions were occurring in Iraq every day, Sahin said, ''these are attacks generally staged for purposes of a group and I think that the attack on our Embassy is such an attack. I think that this attack is not an attack specially staged against Turkey and Turkish Embassy. Because, blasts occur in Iraq and Baghdad every day.''
