JOINT DECLARATION AND 4 AGREEMENTS SIGNED BETWEEN TURKEY AND KYRGYZSTAN

ANKARA - Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev signed a joint declaration and four agreements aiming to boost bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Sezer and Bakiyev held a joint press conference after their meeting at the Cankaya Presidential Palace in Ankara on Tuesday.
President Sezer noted that Turkey attaches special importance to relations with Kyrgyzstan and is eager to strengthen cooperation in all areas.
"We happily determined that our growing relations which gain grounds from historical and cultural links go forward in the basis of friendship and solidarity. Today we discussed international and regional subjects," he said.
Sezer stated that a prosperous and peaceful Kyrgyzstan would help to regional stability.
"As in the past, Turkey will continue helping his Kyrgyz sisters and brothers, who are on their way to democratization and development" he said.
Drawing attention to Turkey`s geostrategical importance, Kyrgyz President Bakiyev said that Turkey follows a wise and resolute foreign policy based on dialogue between the east and the west.
Kyrgyz President Bakiyev then met speaker Bulent Arinc at the Turkish Parliament.
