ANKARA - A group of 50 women from Develi village of Manisa, an Aegean province, protested against government`s decree aiming to deploy Turkish troops in Lebanon.
Carrying banners and chanting slogans against deployment of Turkish troops in Lebanon, village women started a sit-down protest in front of the parliament building.
"Here we use our democratic rights against government`s decree to be voted in the parliament today" said Oktay Konyar, spokesman for the protestors.
Meanwhile, 7 people trying to disturb traffic at Kyzylay Square in Ankara in protest against the decree on sending Turkish troops to Lebanon, were taken into custody by police.
